Hi, my name is Nathan Chan! I am currently a first-year student in Integrated Biomedical Engineering and Health Sciences at McMaster University. As a student, I am always eager to take on new challenges and have an open mind to learning new things. In my free time, I enjoy working out and going on runs in order to maintain a healthy lifestyle. I also enjoy watching Formula 1 through growing a passion for understanding the complexities that lie within the diverse sport.

Innovating an improved and effective ostomy mechanism design that assists the constant adjustment to prevent deterioration on the flange for Ms. Tahani.
Design Project 2: Hips Don’t Lie [9]
Creating a hip implant custom to Ms. Uhura which enables range of motion and alleviates the pain of bone to bone contact, while keeping longevity and osseointegration with synthetic cartilage.
Design Project 3: Sense of Independence [10]
Designing an automated jar opener to help individuals with arthritis assisting with hand dexterities.
Design Project 4: Not a Pun, It’s Real Life [11]
Developing a shoe designed to tackle foot drop and hand dexterities for patients with multiple sclerosis, using an adaptable peg mechanism and self-lacing system.
